Andy Warhol (1928 - 1987)

The American artist was a leading figure in the art movement known as Pop Art. His works range from paintings, silkscreens, photography and film, to sculptures. Andy’s New York based studio, The Factory, became a well-known place that brought together people from all layers of society. Besides producing his own art, he also collaborated with Jean-Michel Basquiat for a while. Warhol passed away at the age of 58.
