From an interview with Elizabeth Brice-Heames in Shout Out LA : “I balance commission work with personal projects, and it’s important to me to leave enough time for creative exploration. I create first for tactile connection, between hand and object, whether that be paint, pencil, string, clay, paper or stone. I’m at the mercy of the creative wave, taking careful note of when I’m low energy and need to recharge (with long walks or poetry), or when I’m full of inspiration, paint for a week straight and can’t seem to get my ideas out fast enough. Recently, I’ve been expanding my practice into other avenues, painting more murals, collaborating with various artists and creatives, finding new ways of making my art more accessible to a broader audience.”
