Product description
Scott Albrecht is a Brooklyn based artist. Perhaps best known for his cut, painted, and assembled wood pieces, he also works in a variety of other mediums including stone, steel, collage and pen & ink on paper, panel, sculptures, and murals. His work has been published and exhibited both domestically and internationally. Largely informed by typography, the work of Scott Albrecht often deconstructs letterforms with the intent to reconsider the relationship between message and viewer. He believes a message isn’t about reading, but about finding meaning. Through this approach, these works aim to flip that relationship, creating a space that encourages a viewer to more intentionally engage with the piece and its message as opposed to passively reading with the hope of creating a deeper connection to the work and the environment it lives in.
