Photographer and moviemaker Ed van der Elsken (1925 - 1990) got worldwide recognition with his black-and-white photography. But for a big part of his working career he worked in colour too. Which with he started in the early fifties during his stay in Paris. In the second half of the sixties he made the switch to photographing -almost- everything in colour, he did this due to a collection of audio-visuals and travel documentations for the magazine Revu and Avenue. His most important books in colour are EYE LOVE YOU (1977), Hallo! Een nieuwe Ed van der Eslken (1978) and Avonturen op het land (1980).
